Samsung Galaxy A8 2016 is benchmarked again with Exynos 7420 3GB of RAM

The entire A-series from Samsung has already received its 2016 refresh, except for one member: the Galaxy A8. Inexplicably, the Galaxy A8 (2016) still hasnt become official, but thats probably not going to be the case for long.

Last month we saw a Galaxy A8 (2016) prototype getting listed in the GFXBench database, something which leaked most of its specs. And now it turns out that the handset has also been put through the paces of Geekbench earlier this month.

As always, the Geekbench listing doesnt reveal as much as GFXBenchs, but it still gives us three essential details about the phone. The A8 (2016) will be powered by Samsungs Exynos 7420 chipset, the same one that last year was at the helm in Samsungs flagships - the S6 line and the Note5. The SoC will be aided in the new A8 by 3GB of RAM. The upcoming smartphone will run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow when it finally launches.

Accor ding to GFXBench, it should also sport a 5.1-inch 1080p touchscreen, a 16 MP rear camera, a 5 MP selfie shooter, and 32GB of internal storage.
