excitement over the Samsung Galaxy S2

With my handset arriving in the next 14 hours Ive had to devise a small list of what I want to do with the device first...so here we go:
Film my beautiful girlfriend stripping in glorious HD- An obvious choice but also the best way to check out the video ability.
Watch bbc iPlayer- Yet to have a phone thats been able to do this so its a feature I cant wait to use, and Ill be making the most of my 3GB total internet allowance!
Go to the beach and try out the camera- Living just 5 minutes walk from the beach this seems almost the best way to check out the 8mp camera.
Try out the office software- As a writer this was one of the most appealing things about the phone and allows me to work with out the need for my laptop

Im sure there will be more but this is it for now.

How To Fix Verizon HTC One M8 Problems and Errors

How To Fix Verizon HTC One M8 Problems and Errors

HTC ONE M8 SOUND PROBLEM

ProblemHi Droidguy. I have a weird issue here. My phone (HTC One M8 from Verizon) works great all the time except when I play a music or watch a video while using the phone’s speaker. I first discover the problem after noticing that the sound seemed weaker when I played my favorite music through speaker. That’s when I realized that the sound was coming from the top speaker only. It used to come from both. I tested a video and I got the same problem. I thought it was only for music and video so I tried taking a call through speakers. Guess what, it’s exact the same problem! It also looks like the sound level does not change when I press the Volume buttons.
My phone is messed up and I don’t know what to do. I had it checked by the store’s technician but he seemed unable to figure out a fix. He suggested replacement because it’s still under warranty. I can definitely go through this route but I hate to redownload all my apps and do the setup again. It’s just a waste of time and I don’t think it’s worth it considering that the problem does not reall y affect the phone drastically. I mean I can still use it but it just not working like the way it used to be. Can you help me with this? If there’s a fix for this without getting a replacement I’d really appreciate it guys. Thanks in -advance. â€" Leslie
Answer: Hi Leslie. Some readers have raised this issue before but we were unable to figure out a fix yet. Fortunately, there appears to be hope in the horizon after it was discovered that a certain version of a Chrome browser affects the audio functionality of this phone. If you haven’t not iced it, Chrome is affecting the device’s “in-call” volume rather the “media” volume if you press the volume button. Kindly follow the workaround below. We hope this will resolve the issue for you.
  1. Pull out Chrome browser.
  2. Close the tab containing the embedded media by going to Chrome, thenSettings menu, and b y selecting Close all tabs.
  3. Go to Recent Apps button (the right-part icon of Home button) thenswipe up on the Chrome process to force the phone to close the browser.
  4. Wait for at least 10 seconds before playing a music or any media to test. It’s best to restart the phone though to make the changes permanent. The volume adjust ment function should be restored to normal after this.
Also, Google has been notified of the issue and should have released a fixed for this in their Chrome browser. Try going to Google Play Store to see if there’s a new version or update for the browser. The latest Google browser should now be 35.0.1916.122 or higher. Let us know if the problem continues so we can monitor this emerging issue as well.

KEYBOARD SETTINGS TO AVOID TAPPING LANGUAGE BUTTON

ProblemI don’t want to alter the design of HTC One M8 but I have a somewhat irritating issue every time I use the keyboard. I am constantly on the road and I email a lot when on the go. The problem I have is that I always accidentally hit the language button when I use the keyboard when I text or email. Don’t get me wrong. HTC One is the best phone, IMO. I have no complaints for my device except this little annoying problem. I may be alone or may have clumsy fingers but there should be at least a way to change the layout of the keyboard or something to help people like me. I hope this is not ask ing too much from you. I’d appreciate it if you can help me fix this nagging issue. I’m with Verizon if that matters. Thanks. â€"Maggie
Solution: Hi Maggie. Rest assured that you’re not alone having this experience. HTC One’s keyboard design appears to have room for improvements. Fortunately, HTC has recognized the potential problem that users can actually change their keyboard settings. Kindly go over the workaround below to resolve your issue:
  1. Pull out your email app to bring up the software keyboard.
  2. Tap the cog icon, also known as the Settings button to open Keyboard settings.
  3. Select Keyboard selection to turn off any languages you don’t use. This ensures that even if you hit the language button again, it will not affect whatever you’ll be working on.
  4. Another alternative would be to install a new app by downloading your preferred one from Google Play Store. There is a good list of wonderful software keyboards that you can choose from. Si mply pick whatever works best for you.

MISSING NOTIFICATION LIGHTS ON HTC ONE M8

ProblemI don’t know if I’m right or not but isn’t my HTC One supposed to show notification lights when I get something? I noticed it did this before but I don’t know what happened. This i s my first smartphone and I’m 75 years old. I don’t know anything about computers or phones so please be gentle. I’m using my daughter’s tablet right now and I expect to hear from you to resolve this small issue. It would really be convenient to have those lights back, you know, to tell me to check something.â€" Riley
Solution: Hi Riley. We’re glad that you find time to visit our website and ask for assistance. Are you referring to the missing flashing green light when you have pending notification? The notification LED on the upper left side of your phone should be activated if there are pending messages, emails, or any notification for you.
Assuming that there is no notification light on your device, the first thing to do is to check the notification setting. If you’ve already checked the notification settings, then it’s time to do a Master Reset, which is the process of restoring the phone’s software to its original settings (factory defaults). Master reset will delete everything including apps, contacts stored in internal memory, and all downloaded contents. Contacts and information in your SIM card are safe. Ensure to save all your data and information on a computer or another storage d evice. You may want to ask assistance from someone if you don’t know how to save a backup of your data.
To perform master reset, please follow the following steps:
  1. Go to Home screen and tap All apps icon
  2. Select Settings
  3. Scroll to and tap Backup & reset
  4. Tap Reset phone
  5. Scroll down and check Erase all data box
  6. Tap OK twice.
  7. After doing the master reset, sign in to your accounts and re-download all your apps.
Another user from another forum recommended to do manual reset then decline to sign in to one’s Google account during the initial set-up. He only signed in to his account after the initial set-up so he can download all his apps manually from Google Play Store.
Another workaround shared by another forum reader suggests going toSettings > More > Default SMS app > Select Messages. While this step is untested no our end, it may be worth trying.
We hope this will help you resolve the issue. Don’t hesitate to contact us again if you have more concerns.

TWITTER ACCOUNT NOT SYNCING ON HTC ONE

ProblemI use Twitter on my new HTC One but it doesn’t sync at all. I already tried everything including checking social networking settings. I now consider deleting everything from the phone to start from scratch but it seems quite a hassle for me to go through the initial setup and re-downloading of apps. Can this be fixed without doing that? Please enlighten me. â€"Ashley
Solution:Hello Ashley. Do you have other social networking apps like Facebook, Instagram, etc. other than Twitter? If other apps are syncing just fine, then it may be the Twitter app causing it. In this case, re-installing Twitter should be an easy fix. However, if all other social networking sites have exact the same problem, then please follow the steps we provide below:
Check your connection by ensuring that either your data or Wi-Fi works on your phone. Swipe down from the status bar to open Quick Settings panel then select either type of connectio n to use.
  1. Open any web browser like Google Chrome and try to open at least two websites known to be working.
  2. Make sure that the username and password on your Twitter app are correct, especially if you changed them in your personal computer or any other device recently. Your Twitter app may not have the updated log-in credentials.
  3. Restart your phone

REMOTE CONTROL FEATURE ON HTC ONE WON’T WORK

Problem: Hi. I have a Sony Bravia and I want to use my HTC One as a remote for it. I know how to set up the remote function because I was able to use it on my older LG before. What are the possibilities that the phone is causing this glitch? I already tried to run through the remote set up b ut it doesn’t seem to work still. Any ideas? â€"TVLady
Solution: Hi TVLady. We’re pleased to know that you’ve done the basic set-up. First of all, a possible reason why the remote function does not work may lie on incompatibility issues with third party apps you have on your phone. To check if this is the case, please restart your phone by pressing and holding the Power button, then choosing Restart in phone options in a pop up window.
Another possible cause of the problem is that your phone may be having issues detecting Infrared signals. Please check if the IR LED near the power button is flashing by using another camera preview of a different device. You can do this by following these steps:
  1. Go to TV app
  2. Tap Remote control icon
  3. Press Remote control panel and verify if the IR LED is flashing on the preview screen of a different device camera.
In order to know the IR comments of the original remote controller, please do the following:
  1. Go to TV app
  2. Select Remote control icon
  3. Tap the three-dot icon
  4. Select Button setup
  5. Choose Remote, Power, Input (you need to reconfigure them)
  6. Tap Next
  7. Follow the instructions on the phone

CANNOT DOWNLOAD APPS DUE TO ERROR 403

ProblemHi, I have an HTC One M8 and just today I experienced issues downloading apps from the Play Store. At first, I thought it was a connectivity problem but later on I started getting the error 403. It says “CSR Racing could not be downloaded due to an error. (403)” I don’t know what this is all about but I already tried rebooting the phone several times to no avail. It would be very helpful if you could help me with this. Thank you. â€" Solenn
Solution: It is neither a device- nor carrier-specific problem. In fact, even entry level and midrange devices from other carriers seem to be experiencing this issue. It’s a bummer there’s not enough information available online that explains what this error is all about. Google didn’t provide information either. I talked to a couple of friends who are developers and they, too, can’t explain what it happens. However, they said, it is obviously an Android or Play Store problem. If you’ve tried searching for solutions online, you must have ran across suggestions like clearing the cache and data of Play Store or Google Framework Services; others resolved their problem s with those procedures but majority didn’t.
It was around February this year that this problem happened but after a day or two, it was resolved without intervention from device owners. So, if you cannot download apps now, I suggest you wait it out until Google fixes it…or you can try procedures you may find online.

HTC ONE M8 CAN’T DETECT SIM CARD

ProblemHi, I just received my new HTC One M8 phone and a Verizon SIM card. When I tried inserting the SIM card, it’s giving me an error that says SIM card not detected. I’m not sure what to do at this point. I mean the phone is new and it should work, right? Can you help me out please? It’s my first smartphone so I’m still learning things. Thanks. â€" Maricar
Solution: I believe there’s no problem with the phone or the SIM card. I just want you to make sure it is properly mounted. Here’s what you need to do…
  1. Turn the phone off.
  2. Remove the SIM card.
  3. To rule out the possibility of corrosion problem, wipe the SIM card contacts with a soft cloth.
  4. Now, insert the SIM card.
    1. Hold the phone face up.
    2. Insert the tip of the tray eject tool into the tray eject hole next to the nano SIM card tray slot.
    3. Push the tip all the way into the hole until the nano SIM card tray ejects.
    4. Pull the nano SIM card tray out, and place the nano SIM card (contacts fa cing down) into the tray.
    5. Insert the nano SIM card tray back into the slot.
I hope it works now, otherwise, contact your service provider.

HTC ONE M8 HAS DIFFICULTY MAKING / RECEIVING CALLS

ProblemHey guys, I’m not sure if you could help or if you have any idea how to fix my problem. Just recently, my phone seems to have issues making and receiving calls. I make and receive calls daily due to the nature of my job so this is very inconvenient for me. Whenever I dial a number, sometimes it goes through and I can talk with the other person but suddenly the call drops. There are also times when I just can’t make some calls and can’t receive any. I’m thinking it’s a network problem but I just want to ask someone who might have known how to fix this first before making that call. Do you have suggestions? â€" Marco< /strong>
Solution: Marco, I, too, am thinking it’s more of a network problem than anything else. Honestly, I can’t think of anything that might resolve this problem…there’s one thing I want you to try thoughâ€"resetting network setting. Don’t worry, you won’t lose any content or data when you do this…
  1. From th e home screen, tap Phone.
  2. Dial ##72786#.
  3. Tap menu, and then Reset.
  4. Tap OK.
  5. Your phone restarts.
  6. After it restarts and reconnects to the network, your phone automatically launches hands-free activation.
If the problem persists after this, make that call.

HTC ONE M8 HAS SOME ISSUES PLAYING VIDEOS

ProblemHello Droid guys, I have a problem with my HTC One (M8). Every time I play a video, it would pause or stutter and sometimes stops. There were also times when the controls just won’t respond like when I pause the video, the pause button won’t function when I touch it. It wasn’t like this before so I’m perplexed why this problem happened to me. The phone is pretty much in mint condition; no water or physical damage. I don’t know what triggered the problem, it just started one day and it didn’t go away. I don’t know how to fix this for please help me. Thanks. â€" Jansen
Troubleshooting: It seems to me that this is all an app problem but we can’t really be sure. So, there are things I want you to check. Firs t, your internet connection. If you’re streaming a video, then it makes sense because videos are being downloaded when streamed and if you have a problem with your internet connection, it’s just right that the video playback stutters.
Secondly, if you’re just playing a video saved locally, clear the cache and data of your video player. It works most of the time so it’s worth a try. There are times when data becomes corrupt and interferes with the phone’s normal operation.
Thirdly, boot to safe mode and see if you can play videos there without having to experience all these problems. If you can, then there’s a third-party app that’s messing up with your phone. Find it and uninstall it.
Lastly, if the video player you’re using is a third-party, uninstall the app and re-install it.

CAN’T SEND OR RECEIVE MMS ON NEW HTC ONE M8

ProblemHello guys, I am a new user of the new HTC One M8, which I bought from a local retail store. I am under Verizon’s network and the phone has already been setup; I can now make or receive calls, send text messages, use the internet but not send / receive MMS messages. What do I need to do to use this service? I often receive picture messages from my children using my old phone. Now, they’re saying I haven’t responded to any of their picture messages but I haven’t received any. Can you help me, please. â€" Zen
Solution: Since your phone didn’t come from Verizon, it hasn’t been set to connect to the company’s MMS servers to send and receive multimedia messages. I’m not sure if Verizon already provided you with correct APN but if they did, turn on mobile data on your phone since MMS needs mobile data. If you don’t have the correct APN, call Verizon and ask for it and then have the rep walk you through setting it up on your phone.

SHARE HTC ONE CONNECTION WITH LAPTOP

ProblemHello Harold, my name is Sonia and I am 65 years old. My daughter gave me a new smartphone with an unlimited. She said it’s HTC One, the new model, from Verizon. The phone is really good but it’s just too small for me especially when I browse the internet. I hate typing with touchscreen because I have huge fingers and more often I mistype my messages because I touch letters that shouldn’t be included in my messages. So, I prefer to use my laptop to send messages. My daughter said I can connect to the internet by sharing the connection from my phone. How can I do that? Can you walk me through, please?
< div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #555555; font-family: PT Serif, sans-serif; font-size: 17.6px; line-height: 28.16px; margin-bottom: 20px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">Solution: Yes, Sonia, you can share your phone’s internet connection with your laptop by making it a hotspot. There is a setting that needs to be turned on for that. Here’s how you do it…
  1. Go to Settings, and then under Wireless & networks, tap More.
  2. Tap Mobile network sharing.
  3. Tap the Portable Wi-Fi hotspot On/Off switch to turn it on.
  4. The first time you turn on the Wi‍-Fi hotspot, you’ll need to set it up.
  5. Enter a hotspot name or use the default.
  6. Enter a password or use the default.
  7. The password is the key other people need to enter on their device so they can connect and use HTC One as a wireless rout er.
  8. To help make your Wi-Fi hotspot more secure, tap Advanced settings.
Please note that you need to turn on mobile data for this feature to work well since the phone gets connectivity from there. I hope this helps.

What Android phones have keyboards

One of the big selling points for some phone users is the fact they want to use a phone with a qwerty keypad. Although Id a big fan of on screen keyboards personally I can understand that some people do prefer solid, touchable keypads, so what we are going to look at here is a short list of some of the best handsets with qwerty keyboards available in the UK. Although many of these phones are available elsewhere they maybe known under alternative names and other countries will have different handsets available to them.

HTC ChaCha
This heavily pushed HTC that has been advertised through town centres is one of the first phones with dedicated "Facebook" buttons. The phone has been advertised as a social phone though under-the marketing gimmick it runs the Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Where it falls down for me however is the small screen (480x320 or if you rather 2.6") which has had to compensate for the keyboard. The phone, as with many HTCs also lacks the so lid internal memory that you may with to have in an Android having just 512MB and with just 512MB of RAM as well this is far from top of the range.

HTC Desire Z
The HTC Desire Z was the follow up to the HTC Desire and HTC Desire HD though added the slide out keyboard as its main selling point. The handset has been out for almost a year now and this is arguably where it has its biggest problems. A phone that is a year old maybe cheaper however it is also technologically limited and its specification does some what show its limitations. For a s tart the handset is still running Android version 2.2 (FroYo) a system that is already outdated and and really showing signs of aging. The phone also comes with issues regarding the sliding mechanism on the keyboard and battery issues. The phone however does have one of the best keyboards on the market, it also has in excess of 1GB of internal memory and generally comes with an 8GB memory card in the box. The phone, despite showing its age is a solid handset as long as you are on a budget and dont mind using outdated software.

Motorola Milestone 2
The original Motorola Milestone (also called the Motorola Droid) was one of the first standout Androids with a keyboard and its follow up, the Milestone 2 (Droid 2) followed in the same vein. The phone has a brilliant 3.7" display with sliding keyboard and a built in 8GB of on board memory. Though like the HTC Desire Z it is almost a year old and the phone is stuck with FroYo it seems. Despite technically bei ng a great handset (and one you could likely pick up cheaply if you shopped around) I cant help but advising you off the phone. Sadly its looking like Motorola wont be release the Milestone 3 in the UK which is a huge shame (as the phone is arguably the best qwerty Android in the world at the moment), though if you are in the US you should perhaps think about snapping one up.

Samsung Galaxy Pro
This handset is the only current Samsung Android with a qwerty keyboard currently sold through The Carphone Warehouse. It features a full qwerty keyboard and is one of the few non-sliders currently available (like the HTC ChaCha) which again means the screen is relatively tiny (2.8") when compared with the other handsets. The phone, despite being relatively new only comes with FroYo on board however it is viewed as "The android to challenge the Blackberry" by some and its probably the most fair description of the phone. Spec wise the pho ne is running with a decent processor under though has seen cut backs on internal memory (512MB) and a below standard camera (3.2MP) which are two issues that you will need to think about.

Sony Ericsson Xperia mini pro
Sony have had success with their Xperia range and have had several that do run on Android, the only one included in this piece however is the Xperia mini pro (as the other phones seem to be running on versions of Android that are simply too outdated). The mini pro is currently running Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and looks the real deal with both a front facing and rear camera, a slide out keyboard and it even comes with a 1Ghz Scorpion processor (one of, if not the quickest of any qwerty android available). The phone is arguable the best all round and most upto date phone on the Android system. Sadly like most of the phones on this list it does seem to lack something and in this case its not only internal storage (320MB) but also RAM (512MB). Although the phone does have a great processor its RAM is...not up there to match and you may notice some issues due to it. If I was to advise one it would be this handset though personally Id be tempted to take the risk and look at none-qwerty phones as well. (Sadly this phone doesnt have an Amazon page it seems so heres a link to Carphone Warehouse product page)

If you can wait Id say you should perhaps give a look to the Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro that is just around the corner. The phone features the best features of the Experia Pro Mini though adds an amazing 8.1MP camera and looks like it could well take the mantle of being the best qwerty android available.

(Please note this list isnt extensive and is based on popular current handsets)

How to fix error 920 in Google Play Store

The error 920 is another common Google Play Store related error. This bug prevents you from downloading or updating your apps & games from the Android market. This issue is also common in in Cyanogenmod based devices like OnePlus One. The fix for error 920 is the same as that of error 963 and the infamous error RPC:S-5:AEC-0.  All you need to do is clear some cache and delete/re-add your Gmail account in the settings. First thing youd want to try is rebooting (restarting) your android device and then installing t he app causing the error. If that didnt work,  here are the simple steps to resolve or fix error 920 in Android Google Play Store:

How to Fix App Error 920 in Google Play Store

Update for "Gmail" could not be downloaded due to an error. (920)

Samsung Galaxy S4 Switches Off Does Not Restart Issue

Samsung Galaxy S4 Switches Off Does Not Restart Issue

S4 Switches Off Does Not Restart
Problem: My phone was working perfect this morning then suddenly switched off and would not restart.  I took the battery out the back and put it back in and it came up with Android initialising then when blank again.  It has not powered up still 3 hours later.  I have took the battery out again and still nothing however when I press the button on the side to switch it on it buzzes but nothing happens.  Can you please advice me?  Many thanks.
Solution: There are a couple of factors that we should check for this type of issue. The first thing to do is to check if the issue is caused by a weak battery. Try connecting the phone to a wall charger and let it charge for at least 20 minutes. With the charger still connected try to turn on the phone. If the issue does not occur then it’s possible that it could be caused by the battery. If this is the case then you should get a new battery.
Another possible reason why this problem exists is because of a glitch in the phone data or software.
To troubleshoot this scenario you need to take out the battery and microSD card ( if you have one attached). Press and old the power button for at least a minute then reinsert just the battery. Turn on your phone in recovery mode then wipe its cache partition. This will delete the temporary data in your device. Restart your phone then check if the problem still occurs.
If at this point the issue still occurs then you will need to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. The best way to do a factory reset is through the recovery mode. If you are unable to access this mode then the issue could already be hardware related. If this is the case then you should have you phone checked at an authorized service center.

How to change default browser in Windows 10

If you went with the “clean install” option for Windows 10 upgrade, your previous app settings will be changed and windows applications will be set by default to open most of your files including email, videos, PDFs and web browser. The Microsoft Edge browser is the new Windows 10 browser. It looks a lot better and feels noticeably smoother than Internet explorer. Some new features on Edge include, ”reading mode”, which gets rid of advertisements and distracting images to give you a clean webpage, and another feature lets you do odle over the webpage and then share the page with your friends. Even with all the improvements Edge is still a work in progress so many users may not find it as user friendly as other browsers. If you want to change your default browser in Windows 10 here are steps to do it:

The above step is very easy and most users already know it. You can use the same steps above set default app for any time of files (pdfs, MP4s, JPEGs.. If you want to dive deeper, you can even set default app for individual file extensions as well as file protocols. Another way to set default apps is by simply right clicking a file you want to open, and then select “open with” >> Select “Choose another” >> Select an app you want to set as default >> Enable “Always use this app to open “xyz” files”.

How to change the font style on a Samsung Galaxy S4

One thing most people want to do when they get a new phone is personalise it, make it theirs. For many its just about the wallpaper, the background screen and how they have their apps displayed on their homescreens, for others however they want to change more than just the lay out of things but also how things actually look.

On of the ways they can change the way things look is by changing the font that they use. This guide is going to show you just how to do that and change the font on a brand new Samsung Galaxy S4.

To start with we go through the same stages as we do for many changes we may wish to make to out phone. So to start with we go to the homescreen and press "menu" to open up a little pop up menu. From this menu you need to select "Settings".

After clicking settings you will be taken to the first "Settings" screen, the "Connections" screen. From here you need to select the second tab along and access the "My device" tab from the top of the screen.

When you get to the "My device" screen you will again be hit with a plethora of options to tinker with (further allowing you to personalise you phone). For now you need to just ignore those options and just click on the "Display" option.

After clicking on the "Display" option you will be taken to a new sub menu which again has a host of things you can change and edit to your personal preference. For now, you need to just ignore them and scroll down the screen

When scrolled part of the way down you will see a a set of options entitled "Font". From the "Font" sub-menu you will see two options. "Font style" and "Font size" for the sake of this guide you need to click on "Font style".

After clicking on "Font style" you will get a new pop up menu on the screen with a list of options. From those options you need to select the one you most like. For me its "Choco Cooky" every ti me, though if you want to use one of the other options then that choice is yours.

GALAXY S4 CALL DIALING NOT WORKING PROPERLY

Just got phone brand new from Amazon. Did Internet search for business. Google results appear and a phone handset symbol appears next to business’ phone #. Touch the symbol to call the number. Phone then switches to screen to show its dialing a number. However it never actually makes the call,  just says “dialing” and goes on until I hit end call button. No ringing sounds or evidence that call is going through. Then when I touch the end call button the phone stays on the screen showing it’s attempting to make the call. I can exit that screen and do other things on the phone but if i go back to make a phone call I can’t make any calls out because the phone is still stuck on trying to call the number;  it just won’t end or close out. I have to restart phone in order to be able to make phone call by dialing number or choosing from contact list. This happens with any number I try to call by finding it online and pressing the call symbol next to # on the Google search. â€" Kari
Solution: Hi Kari. This must be a cache issue for the Contacts app or dialing app you’re using. Try to delete the cache and data of the said app to see the difference. Make sure that you create a backup of your contacts list before doing the procedure as it will wipe all app data.
  • Go to Settings.
  • Proceed to Applications.
  • Select Manage Appli cations.
  • Tap the All tab.
  • Choose the name of the app involved by tapping it.
  • From there, you will see the Clear Cache and Clear Data buttons.
You can also try refreshing the phone’s system cache by doing the steps below:
  •  Turn off the Galaxy S4 completely.
  • Press and hold the Volume Up and the Home keys together, then press and hold the Power key.
  • When the S4 vibrates, release both the Home and Power keys but continue holding the Volume Up key.
  • When the Android System Recovery shows on the screen, release the Volume Up key.
  • Using the Volume Down key, highlight the option ‘wipe cache partitio n’ and press the Power key to select it.
  • When the wiping of the cache partition is finished, highlight ‘Reboot system now’ and hit the power key.

How to change default search to Google in Edge Win 10

If you recently upgraded to Windows 10 Microsoft Edge you get a cool new browser called Microsoft Edge. The new browser has "Bing" setup as the default search engine or default web address, and many would like to change that to "Google". Bing is not bad, it does list a lot of relevant pages for your search, but its not yet comparable to Google. The browser setting of Edge is a little different from other browsers (Chrome, firefox etc). The settings look like the settings of a mobile browser. The steps below will show you how to change default searc h engine from Bing to Google in Microsoft Edge for Windows 10:

How to change default search to Google in Edge browser for Win 10

  1. Open Edge Browser and then browse to google.com
  2. Go to settings by clicking on the three dots (...) or "more action" icon on the top right.
  3. Click "View Advanced Settings"
  4. scroll down and find "Search in the address bar with" >> Click on the dropdown menu
  5. click "Add new"
  6. Click"www.google.com" >> select "add as default"
Now your default search engine or default web address is set to Google from "Bing". Whenever you do a search you will get Google search results. Checkout these screenshots if you are confused on any of the steps above:
